One of the criteria for the Feoffees, to maintain their charitable status, is to provide amenity and recreational space and facilities for the people of the town. Preston Park, along with Berkley Wood and Herd Lane are used by hundreds of people over the course of a year ranging from a casual sunday afternoon walk with the dogs to daily jogging to toboggening in the snow in winter time. It is used all year round by people in and around Tetbury.
