Tetbury's Market House is a fabulous
Grade I listed building set in the centre
of this historic woolmarket town. Built
during the prosperous years of the wool trade, it was completed in 1655 and today it has the distinction of being listed as an Ancient Monument and a Building of Historical Interest. It is one of the best examples of its kind in the Cotswolds.
For a full history of the market house, the Feoffees have just re-produced and updated a booklet, available at Market House events, open days and the Tourist Information Centre at a price of £1.50
The research and information for the original booklet was produced by Mr S. G. Mosdell in Feb. 1976. It was edited and brought up to date by Daniel Bristow, Nov 2009.
All pictures of the market house on this and the home page were taken by Bristow Photography who own the copyright.
They can be contacted through the links page.
The Market House is available for hire.
